Radio DGH Announces New Chairman

Kevin Turner is announced as Chairman of Radio DGH Eastbourne.

The committee and fellow members recently voted unanimously for Kevin Turner to become the new chairman of Radio DGH Eastbourne.

Kevin said, I was delighted to have been proposed and equally as delighted to have accepted the position of becoming chairman, especially in the year that will see Radio DGH celebrate two milestone anniversaries during 2026. Our first will be to celebrate our 75th Anniversary since being founded in 1951 at our original site at St Mary’s Hospital prior to relocating to the then brand new Eastbourne District General Hospital in 1976.

This year we plan to participate in The Eastbourne Carnival, along with hosting open days at our studio’s at the Eastbourne DGH. We will also be celebrating in The Beacon Centre and at The Langney Shopping Centre later this year, so there is still plenty of work to be done. In another year of change and challenges, I wish to express my sincere thanks to the volunteers, both past and present for their tireless work in keeping Radio DGH on air for an incredible 75 years. I also wish to extend my sincere thanks to the kindness and generosity of our sponsors and partners who actively seek to give back to our local community by supporting Radio DGH through sponsorship or Big Prize Giveaways.

Thank you from the entire Team at Radio DGH Eastbourne
